You’ll get a bigger bang for your buck that way.
The first step to getting you that six figure job you’ve always wanted is a world class resume.

We’ve had clients go from not getting any calls or interviews in a month to getting calls and interviews in 1-2 weeks.
If you’re not getting interviews or calls from recruiters within 1-2 weeks, you’re doing something wrong with your resume.

This will be a collaborative effort between you and ULTMECHE.

Cover Letters

A Cover Letter needs to tie in your business impact and macroeconomic relevance.
A Cover Letter SHOULD NOT demonstrate why you want the job or mention soft skills.
Do not mention soft skills such as:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Team Player
- Takes Initiative
Instead, what you want to do is SHOW how you demonstrate those core competencies.
Our Cover Letter Format:
Introductory paragraph – describes yourself, your skillsets, and your contribution to the company’s mission
Second Paragraph – goes into detail about your projects and accomplishments
Third Paragraph – closing statements and re-iteration of your skills and alignment to the company’s mission and macroeconomic goals
Linkedin Optimization

If you aren’t constantly getting hit up by recruiters for job opportunities, you’re missing out on potential job offers.
Just like your resume and cover letter, your Linkedin needs:
- To be clear and concise
- Demonstrate your quantitative results and accomplishments
- Contain skills that recruiters want to see
When recruiters are actively searching for candidates, they are looking for specific skillsets pertaining to the job they’re recruiting for.
You need to showcase this through bullet points in your job description.
What you give us:
The URL of your linkedin
What we give you:
A PDF of your LinkedIn with red lines to optimize your profile for max recruiter outreach.
Mock Interviews

Here are a few questions that we go over and why you need to know these, at a minimum:
Interviews for companies are divided into two sections – behavioral questions and technical questions
Behavioral Questions
In our Mock Interview Service, we will go over the following 5 questions at MINIMUM.
- Tell me about yourself
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
- Tell me about a conflict at work and how you resolved it
Additional behavioral questions will be determined based on your answers and experience.
See a sneak peak of why we ask the questions above and how to answer them.
If you find them useful, book a mock interview with us.
1. Tell me about yourself
You need a solid elevator pitch about yourself.
Don’t have one? We’ll help you out.
Even if you’re not interviewing…you need to be able to answer this question.
Why?
It defines your identity.
You should always know who you are, what you do, what business value you provide to your existing firm.
Bonus points if you can express the answer in a confident manner.
2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Employers are assessing your short to long term outlook and future at the company.
(Hint – you don’t even need to know where you see yourself in 5 years, just make it seem like you want to help the company’s mission long term)
3. What are your strengths?
If you don’t answer this question with a STAR format, you’re leaving money on the table.
You want to be able to demonstrate your competence, not say you’re competent.
To demonstrate competence, you need to highlight a SITUATION that you’ve been in.
Situation, Task, Action, Result – Highlight a key situation where you demonstrated a strength which led to clear, definable metrics.
This is what will set you apart from the competition.
4. What are your weaknesses?
This answer should be answered similar to the above.
Use the STAR method for this one.
“One of my weaknesses is being too detail oriented and I’d like to highlight the time that I was responsible for an overseas construction project. I was the lead project manager for a large scale $20M offshore oil rig in the Euro Pacific region. Given my engineering background, I spent too much time focused on streamlining processes that when it came to deliverables, we were always late.
The lesson I learned was that I should focus more on the major and not so much on the minor. As I implemented changes that shifted focus away on streamlining processes, we started to achieve a 100% on time performance for deliverables.”
5. Tell me about a conflict at work and how you resolved it.
Use the STAR method here.
Did you want a freebie answer?
You already have a good example one above.
Technical Questions
This will vary depending on which specific discipline you are.
See below a sample of questions we would go over for the following disciplines.

Technical questions will be tailored to you depending on which job position you’re going for.
Civil Engineering
- How are bridges built?
- What causes building collapse?
- Draw a free body diagram of this civil engineering application
- What is the significance of modulus of elasticity?
- How is concrete measured?
Electrical Engineering
- Explain the parameters between voltage, current, and resistance
- What do capacitors, resistors, or inductors do?
- What tools would you use to measure parameters in a circuit?
- How do control systems work?
- What different types of networks are involved in an electrical circuit?
Mechanical Engineering
- What is the difference between yield strength and ultimate tensile strength?
- Explain what the Ranking power cycle is
- What is stress and strain?
- Draw a free body diagram of a mechanical system
- If a beam experiences a load at this point, where is the highest shear stress?
Software Engineering
Mock coding interview.
Ensure your knowledge of data structures and algorithms is solid.
Grind Leetcode.
If you don’t know how to answer any of the questions above in your specific field, you have some work to do.
