President Donald Trump Assasination Attempt

I’m sure you’ve heard of it by now.

There was an assassination attempt on Former US President Donald Trump at the Pennsylvania Rally on July 13, 2024.

This is a date that will go down in history books for generations to come.

Trump was shot in the right ear and very soon escorted off stage with the help of secret service.

He seems to be okay and the shot seems to have grazed his ear. This was probably inches or even millimeters away from potentially being something fatal.

What was remarkable and displayed strength was his ability to raise his fist in the air and “Fight” multiple times, as the secret service began escorting him off the stage.

At the time of this writing, it seems that 2 people were killed – the shooter and a bystander in the audience.

Who was the shooter

The shooter was 20 year old Thomas Matthew Crooks, from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, which is about an hour south of Butler. There is a lot of controversy regarding his background, upbringing, and events leading up to this.

Who was killed

Corey Comperatore was a 50 year old former firefighter that was killed during the Pennsylvania Rally shooting. He was there with his wife and two daughters and dove over them to protect them when gunshots were heard in the crowd.

This was very unfortunate and a gofundme was set up to support.

Two Additional Victims in Trump shooting

The names of the two victims injured during the Trump rally shooting have been released by the Pennsylvania State Police. Both 57-year-old David Dutch, of New Kensington, Penn., and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township, Penn., are now in stable condition.

Was the assassination staged

A lot of controversy regarding that this is “staged”, but there is plenty of evidence that suggests there isn’t.

Also – given the distance the shooter was away from Trump (~400 ft or so), to hit a target with such precision with very minimal error allowed – makes it extremely unlikely that this was staged.

To shoot a gun at that far of a distance, with factors to take into consideration such as the Coriolis effect, where Earth’s rotation, wind, and the shooter’s elevated heart rate, breathing, adrenaline, all taken into consideration..

I’d wager that to hit a shot with such accuracy, it is impossible to stage.

This is just speculation, I’m not a shooting expert by any means.

A moment that will go down in history books

What I thought was really remarkable was Trump’s reaction in such a critical situation. It was a display of his character and strength for him to pose in such a powerful manner. Fist bumping in the air and yelling “Fight”. The average person would not be able to do this in a fight or flight situation.

Who will be Trump’s VP

There is very wide speculation about who will be Trump’s VP. Even moreso after this event. There is a ton of controversy with the type of character he will be selecting. Will he pick a yes guy, a box checker, or someone that can display strength in the administration?

Election Status

It seems that with this event unfolding, there will be more positive sympathy and sentiment towards Trump.

Closing Thoughts

As addicting it may be to doom scroll politics, ultimately, we are responsible for ourselves.

No one is going to save you.

This will be a story that will be talked about for days, weeks, months, even years to come.

You might be inclined to doom scroll politics or become more “political”.

Ultimately, I think heavy time spent in Politics comes down to a negative ROI.

You might feel like you’re doing something positive, but in fact, you’re not making a real impact based on your belief of politics.

I am not an expert on any of this, just my own observations and commentary.
